Square Enix has announced that it will be releasing a much-anticipated update for Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition later this month. The update promises to bring a range of changes, including much-needed framerate improvements and fixes for other bugs.

Released last year, the game includes the PlayStation 1 sequel to Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, along with the previously Japan-exclusive Satellaview title Radical Dreamers. This latest update is the first major patch since the game's launch day patch.
According to Square Enix, the update will include significant improvements to the game's performance, with "framerate improvements" being the most notable addition. In addition to the framerate improvements, the update will also feature changes to the growth system for Pip, a small creature that players can recruit by saving him in Viper Manor in Another World and encountering him again on the S.S.
